Verizon sucks... Time Warner Cable sucks too
I am trying to get Internet in my office building, in NYC. Not in the middle of nowhere in a third world country. First problem, the only provider is Verizon. Second problem they don't offer fiber optics in my building. Then, the only speed they have is the slowest one. Like in my previous building. Which is 1.5 MB. And, on top of that, they need ten days to install it. This is the MIDDLE AGES. Verizon just sucks. So I decided to cancel.
Update: I tried to get Time Warner Cable. They need two weeks to figure out if it is worth it to come to my building. Then, they are asking me to answer questions about the building. Yep! I need to do their job. And, if the answer is positive, they need 12 weeks to install my connection. Time Warner Cable sucks too. Bye!

Verizon is worse than the DMV when you need to deal with them for a billing issue, and believe me, you will. A simple business operation such as rendering an accurate bill seems impossible for Verizon and then having them correct their error is almost impossible, even after filing a complaint with the Public Utility Commision in your state. And I recommend involving the regulators because that is the only way to capture the attention of this Soviet style bureaucracy. Better yet, consider an alternative supplier before you get involved with Verizon. Incidently the 50% stake Vodaphone holds in Verizon Wireless must be what keeps them pretty well customer focused (for a utility) and keeps the Verizon corporate parent's DNA from contaminating their gene pool.
It takes me five steps to record a program
thanks to TWC Mystro software. The old software
was easier to navigate.
I use a DVD/VHS recorder. I have no intention
of getting their DVR sevice. I called customer
service to to vent my opinion. What a waste of
time.

I've used Verizon Fios and Time Warner Canle and they both suck! About a mont ago I was able to find something that made it possible for me to get the same channels I got on Verizon and time warner plus more than that -- channels from all over the world. Also, the best part is... there is no monthly fee. You can check it out here -
